Job summary

MetroSys, Inc. seeks an IT Support Specialist to provide hands-on desktop and equipment support in a fast-paced industrial setting. You will troubleshoot Windows workstations, printers, and production devices, while assisting with account administration and security.

Onsite support covers both office and production floors, including barcode scanners and related peripherals. Join a team focused on maintaining reliable IT operations, handling tickets efficiently, and coordinating with vendors.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional IT support experience (help desk/Desktop)
• Strong troubleshooting with Windows OS, hardware, and business apps
• Experience installing/configuring computers, printers, and peripherals
• Networking fundamentals and basic connectivity troubleshooting
• User account administration and IT security basics
• Experience using ticketing systems to document and resolve issues
• Ability to work independently and communicate with non-technical users
• Willingness to support both office and production environments
• Strong organizational skills for handling multiple requests

Responsibilities

• Provide Level II desktop support for desktops, laptops, peripherals, and business apps
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, network connectivity, and access issues in office and production areas
• Install, configure, repair, and maintain Windows workstations, printers, scanners, and IT equipment
• Support production-floor technologies such as barcode scanners and label printers
• Manage support requests via ticketing system with timely resolution and escalation
• Assist with user account administration, access permissions, and password resets
• Monitor routine IT infrastructure operations, backups, and alerts
• Coordinate with external vendors to resolve technical issues
• Maintain accurate IT asset records and documentation
• Assist with workstation deployments, replacements, and software upgrades
• Identify recurring problems and suggest improvements to reduce downtime
• Provide hands-on IT support across facility
