Job summary

Amentum is seeking an HVAC maintenance technician for a second shift to respond to work orders, troubleshoot, and perform preventive and corrective maintenance on facility HVAC and related equipment in an industrial setting. The role emphasizes safety, communication, and independent evaluations.

The candidate will work with building automation, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure energy-efficient operation while maintaining compliance with codes and customer requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Three years HVAC/R maintenance experience in industrial or commercial settings.
• Ability to work at heights up to 30 feet (aerial lift/scissor lift).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Pass a medical evaluation for respirator use and fit testing.

Responsibilities

• Provide preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on industrial/commercial HVAC equipment.
• Inspect, monitor, and adjust mechanical systems for optimal operation.
• Identify safety issues and perform independent equipment evaluations.
• Operate and troubleshoot ventilation equipment, pumps, chillers, AHUs, and related systems.
• Utilize building automation and CMMS to track conditions and maintenance.
• Respond to work orders and communicate effectively with customers; follow safety guidelines.
