Job summary

Amentum is seeking an experienced HVAC/R maintenance technician for a 2nd shift role in the Minneapolis area. The position focuses on intermediate-level troubleshooting, preventive and corrective maintenance of facility HVAC and mechanical systems in industrial and large commercial environments, including clean rooms.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Three years HVAC/R maintenance experience in industrial/commercial environments.
• Boiler License - 2nd Class C.
• Ability to work in aerial lift up to 30 feet or higher.
• Pass a pre-employment substance abuse test.
• US Citizenship or Permanent Residency required for facility credentials/authorization.

Responsibilities

• Provide preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance on HVAC equipment.
• Inspect and maintain mechanical systems to ensure continuous operation.
• Operate, diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair ventilation equipment, pumps, fans, chillers, AHUs, compressors, refrigeration, and related equipment.
• Use building automation system to monitor conditions and equipment operation.
• Perform safety procedures including lockout/tagout and PPE.
• Document maintenance actions and provide customer feedback on work orders.
• Work with CMMS to schedule and track maintenance activities.
• Collaborate with team and clients during site emergencies.
