Altec Industries, Inc. seeks a results-driven Sales Representative to expand our customer base in the Boston area. You will identify needs, present solutions, and manage quotes, pricing, and contracts to meet client requirements.

The role requires a four-year degree, proven outside sales experience, strong communication skills, PC proficiency, and willingness to travel extensively. You will collaborate with engineers and marketing teams to drive growth and ensure customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Four year bachelor’s degree required. Engineering, Marketing, Business preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answer customers' questions about products, prices, availability, product uses, and credit terms.
• Arrange for installation and test-operation of machinery.
• Attend sales and trade meetings, and read related publications in order to obtain information about market conditions, business trends, and industry developments.
• Collaborate with colleagues to exchange information such as selling strategies and marketing information.
• Negotiate prices and terms of sales and service agreements.
• Prepare sales contracts for orders obtained, and submit orders for processing.
• Provide customers with ongoing technical support.
• Identify prospective customers by using business directories, following leads from existing clients, participating in organizations and clubs, and attending trade shows and conferences.
