Job summary

Oshkosh Corp. in Jefferson City, TN, is seeking an assembler to safely build equipment by following detailed work instructions.

You will assemble parts, wires, hoses and hydraulics on JLG/Jerr-Dan products using power and hand tools, install decals and lights, and operate an overhead crane as needed. You will measure, drill, tap, and verify options from schematics, with cross-training across multiple areas.

Qualifications

• Willing to work overtime including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Regular and reliable on-site attendance.
• Experience in manufacturing or general labor preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assemble parts, wires, hoses, and hydraulics on JLG/Jerr-Dan products using power tools and manual techniques.
• Install product accessories such as decals, mud flaps, cameras, and lights.
• Safely operate an overhead crane to position parts.
• Use hand and pneumatic tools with accuracy.
• Measure accurately using tape measures.
• Drill and tap holes for wires, hoses, and small components.
• Identify required options from schematics and standard work instructions.
• Lift and stack subassemblies and parts (up to 35 lbs solo; team lift up to 60 lbs).
• Cross-train and work in multiple assembly areas as needed.
• Follow written and verbal instructions precisely.
• Maintain attention to detail to meet quality standards.
• Keep a clean, safe work area in compliance with safety rules and 6S standards.
