Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking an Industrial Engineering Manager Level 2 in Baltimore to lead a manufacturing IE team and direct capacity planning, work measurement, and continuous improvement initiatives. You will drive efficiency, analyze performance data, and coordinate with operations, facilities, and IT to optimize production flow.

The role requires strong leadership, experience with Lean and Six Sigma, and the ability to communicate findings to management.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
5+ years leading teams, projects, or cross-functional initiatives.
Experience applying IE methods in manufacturing and process improvements.
Experience translating manufacturing data into actionable recommendations.
Ability to lead cross-functional change and communicate technical findings.
US citizenship and ability to obtain Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

Manage and develop Industrial Engineering team across capacity planning and optimization.
Oversee equipment and floor space capacity planning and long‑range investments.
Guide capacity and execution planning to improve daily/weekly planning.
Oversee manufacturing layout projects and cross‑functional coordination.
Lead Lean, Six Sigma and 5S initiatives with measurable improvements.
Manage labor standards, work measurement, and productivity analysis.
Translate performance data into actionable recommendations for operations.
Maintain SAP routing and labor standards aligned with manufacturing processes.
Sponsor new IE capabilities and mentor growth across the organization.
