Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking an Industrial Engineering Manager Level 2 in Baltimore, MD to lead the IE team in capacity planning, work measurement and continuous improvement. The role drives manufacturing analytics, labor standards, and KPI reporting within the MS Manufacturing organization.

You will oversee SAP routings, ERP coordination, and capital planning while mentoring engineers and shaping the capability roadmap. A Secret clearance capability and US citizenship are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or related field; 5+ years in manufacturing.
• Experience leading teams, projects, or cross-functional initiatives.
• Experience applying Industrial Engineering methods in manufacturing (capacity analysis, labor standards).
• Experience translating manufacturing data into actionable recommendations.
• Experience collaborating cross-functionally on process improvements.
• Ability to communicate findings to management and lead change; Secret clearance capability.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop the Industrial Engineering team, setting priorities and performance expectations.
• Oversee capacity planning, work measurement, facilities planning and manufacturing analytics.
• Guide development of capacity and execution planning capabilities and align with operations priorities.
• Oversee manufacturing layout projects and coordinate across operations and facilities engineering.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, VSM, and 5S practices.
• Ensure labor standards management and analysis of actual vs standard hours.
• Establish KPI reporting and translate data into actionable recommendations.
• Oversee SAP routing maintenance and ERP coordination with cross-functional teams.
• Develop and expand IE capabilities while sustaining commitments; mentor staff.
