Job summary
Northrop Grumman Corp. in Baltimore, MD is seeking a Staff Industrial Engineer to lead facility layout, capacity planning and space optimization. The role drives data‑driven recommendations to support governance and the sector strategy, partnering across Manufacturing, Operations, Facilities/Real Estate, Engineering, Supply Chain and Finance.
The engineer will develop models, workflows and dashboards, mentor teams, and influence senior leaders with formal business cases and scalable tools.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, Systems Engineering or related STEM field with substantial experience.
- Experience in facility layout, capacity planning, space utilization and production flow optimization.
- Proven ability to present technical/business cases to leadership.
Responsibilities
- Serve as sector industrial engineering and space planning SME supporting governance and strategy.
- Develop facility roadmaps, capacity models, layouts and analytics to inform decisions.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, Facilities/Real Estate, Finance and Program Management.
- Prepare options, trade-offs and recommendations for leadership review.
