Job summary

Electrical Automation Services in Carol Stream, IL is seeking a skilled controls technician to install, configure and troubleshoot PLC I/O, servo drives, encoders, and HMI interfaces. You will work on 3rd shift with potential overtime and relocation support for the right candidate.

You will troubleshoot 480V 3-phase power, motors, VFDs, and teach/perform preventive maintenance on conveyors and automation equipment while following strict safety protocols.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and troubleshoot photo eyes, proximity switches, limit switches, PLC I/O modules and control wiring.
• Troubleshoot analog/digital controls with 480V 3-phase power distribution, motors, VFDs, servo drives, and soft starts.
• Maintain and troubleshoot encoders and load cells; program and troubleshoot PLC and HMI interfaces.
• Modify PLC logic using ladder logic; diagnose and implement HMI/graphic interfaces.
• Diagnose communication protocols (Profibus, serial, industrial Ethernet) and electrical schematics.
• Perform preventive maintenance on Laser Guided Vehicles, conveyors, and production equipment.
• Adhere to manufacturing safety procedures (LOTO, confined spaces, PPE).
