Job summary

Electrical Automation Services is seeking a skilled technician to install, configure, and troubleshoot automation components on an in-person shift-based schedule in Warrenville, IL. Responsibilities include wiring, PLC/HMI programming, and maintaining motion control components such as servo drives, encoders, and load cells.

The role requires PLC experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and familiarity with protective safety procedures.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Demonstrated experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and servo systems required.
Experience troubleshooting and maintenance on packaging equipment in a manufacturing environment preferred.
Strong understanding of 480V, 3-phase power distribution, motors, VFDs, servo drives and soft starts.

Responsibilities

Install, configure and troubleshoot photo eyes, proximity switches, limit switches, PLC I/O modules and associated control wiring.
Provide troubleshooting for analog and digital controls and 3-phase power systems.
Maintain and troubleshoot encoders and load cells; perform PLC/HMI programming and logic modifications using ladder logic.
Troubleshoot and diagnose graphics of HMI systems; diagnose Profibus, serial and industrial Ethernet communications.
Troubleshoot equipment using electrical schematics and perform preventive maintenance on Laser Guided Vehicles, conveyors, and production equipment.
