Job summary

Electrical Automation Services seeks an experienced technician to installation, configure and troubleshoot complex automation systems in a manufacturing setting. You will work with photo eyes, proximity switches, PLC I/O modules, and related control wiring to ensure reliable operation.

You will diagnose analog/digital controls at 480V 3-phase power, tune servo systems, encoders and load cells, and maintain HMI interfaces.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Demonstrated experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), servo systems required.
Experience with troubleshooting and performing maintenance on packaging equipment in a manufacturing environment preferred.
Thorough understanding of manufacturing safety procedures (lockout/tagout, confined spaces, PPE, etc.) preferred.
PLC programming preferred.
Experience with electrical encoders, servomotors, and amplifiers preferred.

Responsibilities

Install, configure and troubleshoot photo eyes, proximity switches, limit switches, PLC I/O modules and related control wiring.
Troubleshoot analog and digital controls with 480V 3-phase power, motors, VFDs, servo drives and soft starts.
Maintain and troubleshoot encoders and load cells and support PLC/HMI interfaces.
Perform PLC control system configuration and ladder logic modifications.
Troubleshoot and diagnose graphic HMI interfaces and communication protocols (Profibus, serial, Ethernet).
Diagnose equipment issues using electrical schematics and perform preventive maintenance on Laser Guided Vehicles, conveyors and production equipment.
