Job summary

Insteel Industries is hiring an Electrical Technician to install, maintain, and repair machinery and electrical systems in a heavy manufacturing setting. You will troubleshoot power distribution, drives, relays, and motors, and read electrical schematics as part of daily maintenance tasks.

The role requires broad technical training (high school plus apprenticeship) and at least two years of experience in manufacturing environments.

Qualifications

• Broad technical training (high school plus 1–2 years of apprenticeship or applied trades).
• Minimum 2 years as Electrical Technician in manufacturing.
• Multi-craft manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair machinery, equipment, and electrical systems in a heavy manufacturing environment.
• Inspect equipment to ensure proper operation and electrical integrity.
• Troubleshoot power distribution, relays, motors, and DC drives; read electrical blueprints and diagrams.
