Insteel Industries, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Technician to install, maintain, and repair machinery, electrical systems, and related infrastructure in a heavy manufacturing setting. You will ensure equipment operates to quality specs, interpreting blueprints and working with various voltage systems.

Qualifications

• Broad technical training from high school plus apprenticeship or trades training.
• Minimum 2 years' experience as an electrical technician in manufacturing.
• Multi-craft experience preferred and CMMS exposure.

Responsibilities

• Practice safe work habits and work effectively in a team environment.
• Understand safety equipment and machine safety procedures.
• Diagnose electrical, electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical control systems.
• Inspect equipment for proper operation and electrical integrity.
• Use electrical diagnostic equipment and multimeters safely and correctly.
• Troubleshoot AC drives and electrical power distribution systems.
• Read and interpret electrical blueprints and diagrams.
• Work with 24V, 110V, 220V, 277V, and 480V three-phase systems.
