Job summary

Insteel Industries is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical systems on industrial equipment. You will support the Maintenance Manager and plant staff, ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently.

Key duties include lubrication, basic repairs, use of micrometers, and operating lifts and cranes. A technical education and hands-on experience in a manufacturing setting are preferred.

Qualifications

• Technical training aligned to manufacturing maintenance.
• Minimum 2 years mechanical manufacturing experience.
• Equivalent combination of education and work experience may be acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Perform lubrication of equipment and basic repairs.
• Read micrometers, calipers, and depth gauges.
• Operate lift trucks, overhead cranes and manlifts (license/certifications as required).
• Assist in repairing machinery and maintain water/fluids levels.
