Job summary

Insteel Industries is seeking a Mechanical Technician for its manufacturing operations. The role entails installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial mechanical systems and components, fabricating parts for overhaul, and performing routine maintenance to keep equipment within quality specs and design performance.

Candidates should have 3+ years in industrial machinery maintenance, with ability to read drawings, understand electrical schematics, and apply Lockout/Tagout.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of industrial machinery maintenance experience.
• Broad technical training with basic shop mathematics.
• Minimum 2 years in a manufacturing environment; multi-craft preferred.
• An equivalent combination of education and work experience may be acceptable.
• CMMS experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain industrial automation machinery and robotics.
• Inspect equipment for proper operation and mechanical integrity.
• Read and understand mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
• Know and apply Lockout/Tagout procedures.
• Troubleshoot components and diagnose system failures.
• Understand mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Perform tasks independently as assigned.
• Adhere to machine safety procedures.
