Job summary

Amteck, a national electrical design-build contractor, is hiring an Electrical Maintenance Technician. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, inspection, and repair of electrical systems in industrial environments, ensuring compliance with NFPA 70B, OEM specifications, and NETA standards while maintaining reliability and safety.

Qualifications

• Industrial electrical maintenance experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of electrical theory and power distribution.
• Experience with NFPA 70B, OEM specs, and NETA standards
• Proficient in using testing equipment and diagnostic tools
• Ability to interpret arc-flash requirements and safety protocols
• Excellent documentation and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical preventive maintenance and testing per NFPA 70B & NETA.
• Conduct infrared thermography to identify faults and hotspots.
• Inspect wiring, components, and connections for wear or damage.
• Clean, lubricate, and service electrical equipment for reliability.
• Test power distribution systems, motors, and controls.
• Assess risks and opportunities to improve uptime and safety.
• Apply LOTO and arc-flash safety procedures consistently.
• Support EHS initiatives and safe-work practices.
• Document inspections, test results, and actions taken.
• Communicate findings with customers and team members.
• Travel to multiple facilities up to 100% as needed.
