Job summary

Amteck in Kentucky is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, inspection, and repair of electrical systems in industrial environments, with adherence to NFPA 70B, OEM specs, and NETA standards.

You will service power distribution, motors, controls, and related equipment, document findings, and uphold safety via LOTO, arc-flash awareness, and site safety programs, aiming to maximize uptime and reliability.

Qualifications

• Ideally 5+ years in an industrial electrical maintenance setting.
• Strong understanding of electrical theory, power distribution, and industrial installations.
• Ability to develop and execute preventive maintenance strategies aligned with industry standards.
• High proficiency with electrical tools, diagnostic instruments, and testing equipment.
• Ability to interpret and apply arc-flash studies and safety protocols.
• Knowledge of NEC and OSHA NFPA 70E/70B rules and maintenance safety.
• Willingness to travel up to 100% as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical preventive maintenance and testing per NFPA 70B, OEM specs and NETA standards.
• Conduct infrared thermography to identify abnormal heat signs and faults.
• Inspect electrical components, wiring and connections for wear or damage.
• Clean, lubricate, and service electrical equipment for reliability.
• Test power distribution systems, controls, and motors for proper function.
• Assess equipment conditions to identify maintenance risks and improvements.
• Apply safety procedures including LOTO and arc-flash awareness.
• Support EHS initiatives and safe work practices across tasks.
• Maintain documentation of inspections, test results, and actions taken.
• Communicate findings with customers, supervisors and team members.
• Enforce company and site safety requirements to prevent incidents.
