Job summary

Amteck is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, inspection, and repair of electrical systems in industrial environments. You will ensure safety, reliability, and uptime by servicing power distribution equipment, motors and controls in accordance with NFPA 70B, OEM specs and NETA standards.

Responsibilities include infrared thermography, visual inspections, and maintaining comprehensive documentation.

Qualifications

5+ years in industrial electrical maintenance
Strong understanding of electrical theory and power distribution
Experience with preventive maintenance strategies
Proficient with electrical tools, diagnostic instruments and testing equipment
Ability to generate, review and send reports and project information
Knowledge of arc‑flash studies and safety protocols
Familiarity with NEC rules and OSHA/NFPA standards
Ability to work safely and follow site safety requirements
Willingness to travel up to 100%
Reading construction documents and basic math skills

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance and testing per NFPA 70B, OEM specs and NETA standards
Conduct infrared thermography to identify faults
Visual inspections of electrical components and wiring
Clean, lubricate and service electrical equipment
Test power distribution systems, controls and motors
Assess equipment condition and maintenance risks
Apply safety procedures including LOTO and arc‑flash awareness
Support EHS initiatives and safe work practices
Maintain documentation of inspections, tests, actions, and recommendations
Communicate with customers, supervisors and team members about work performed
