Job summary

Amteck is hiring an Electrical Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance, inspection, testing, and repair of electrical systems in industrial environments. You will work to ensure NFPA 70B, OEM specs, and NETA standards are met, supporting uptime and safe operation of power distribution equipment, motors, and controls.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in industrial electrical maintenance, with strong knowledge of NEC rules, arc-flash safety, and capable of using diagnostic tools

Qualifications

• 5+ years in an industrial electrical maintenance setting.
• Strong understanding of electrical theory, power distribution, and industrial installations.
• Ability to develop and execute preventive maintenance strategies aligned with industry standards.
• High proficiency with electrical tools, diagnostic instruments, and testing equipment.
• Proficiency in generating, reviewing, uploading, and sending reports and project information.
• Knowledge of arc-flash safety procedures and market NEC rules.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical preventive maintenance and testing per NFPA 70B, OEM specs, and NETA standards.
• Conduct infrared thermography to identify abnormal heat signatures and faults.
• Inspect electrical components, wiring, and connections for wear or damage.
• Clean, lubricate, and service electrical equipment for reliability and longevity.
• Test power distribution systems, control equipment, and motors for proper function.
• Assess equipment condition and maintenance risks to improve uptime.
• Apply safety procedures including LOTO and arc-flash awareness.
• Support EHS initiatives and embed safe work practices in tasks.
• Maintain documentation of inspections, test results, and actions.
• Identify and mitigate issues to minimize downtime and costs.
• Communicate with customers, supervisors, and team members about work and conditions.
• Enforce site safety requirements; incidents are preventable through safe work practices.
