Job summary

Amteck in Kentucky is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems in industrial environments. You will ensure compliance with NFPA 70B, OEM specifications, and NETA standards to support uptime and reliable facility operation.

This role requires 5+ years of experience, strong electrical theory, and the ability to interpret arc-flash studies, NEC/OSHA rules, and to travel up to 100% as needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in an industrial electrical maintenance setting.
• Strong understanding of electrical theory, distribution, and installations.
• Capable of developing preventive maintenance strategies per standards.
• Proficient with diagnostic tools and testing equipment; reports written clearly.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical preventive maintenance and testing per NFPA 70B, OEM specs, and NETA.
• Conduct infrared thermography to identify faults and heat signatures.
• Inspect components, wiring, and connections for wear or damage.
• Maintain lubrication and service electrical equipment for reliability and longevity.
• Test power distribution, controls, and motors to verify functionality.
• Assess operating environments to identify risks and improvements.
• Apply LOTO, arc-flash awareness, and review arc-flash studies.
• Support EHS initiatives and safe work practices.
• Document inspections, test results, and corrective actions.
• Communicate findings with customers, supervisors, and teams.
