Job summary

Amteck is hiring an Electrical Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, inspection, and repair of electrical systems in industrial environments. Responsibilities include following NFPA 70B/NETA standards, infrared thermography, visual inspections, and safety procedures to ensure reliability and uptime.

The role requires 5+ years of experience, strong knowledge of power distribution and NEC rules, and the ability to travel extensively to job sites.

Qualifications

At least 5+ years in an industrial electrical maintenance setting.
Strong understanding of electrical theory, power distribution, and industrial installations.
Ability to develop preventive maintenance strategies aligned with industry standards.
Proficient with electrical tools, diagnostic instruments, and testing equipment.
Familiarity with arc-flash studies and safety protocols.
Knowledge of NEC and OSHA/NFPA 70E standards.

Responsibilities

Perform electrical preventive maintenance and testing per NFPA 70B, OEM specs, and NETA standards.
Conduct infrared thermography to detect abnormal heat and faults.
Carry out visual inspections of components, wiring, and connections.
Clean, lubricate, and service electrical equipment for reliability and longevity.
Test power distribution, control equipment, and motors for proper operation.
Assess equipment condition and maintenance risks to minimize downtime.
Follow lockout/tagout and arc-flash safety practices; support EHS initiatives.
Document inspections, tests, actions, and recommendations clearly.
Identify potential issues and communicate with customers and team members.
