Amteck is hiring an Electrical Maintenance Technician to service industrial electrical systems, perform preventive maintenance, and troubleshoot equipment to support uptime and safety. This role emphasizes NFPA 70B, OEM specs, and NETA standards with a strong safety culture.

Responsibilities include thermography, inspections, motor and control testing, and thorough documentation. Travel up to 100% may be required; strong communication and reliability are essential.

Qualifications

• Ideally 5+ years of experience in an industrial electrical maintenance setting.
• Strong understanding of electrical theory, power distribution, and industrial electrical installations.
• Ability to develop and execute preventive maintenance strategies aligned with industry standards.
• High proficiency using electrical tools, diagnostic instruments, and testing equipment.
• Strong computer proficiency, including reporting and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical preventive maintenance and testing following NFPA 70B, OEM specs, and NETA standards.
• Conduct infrared thermography to identify abnormal heat and faults.
• Inspect electrical components, wiring, and connections for wear or damage.
• Service electrical equipment to ensure performance and longevity.
• Test power distribution, control equipment, and motors to verify function.
• Assess equipment conditions to identify risks and improvements.
• Follow safety procedures including LOTO and arc-flash awareness.
• Support EHS initiatives and safe-work practices.
• Maintain documentation of inspections, tests, actions, and recommendations.
• Identify and mitigate issues to minimize downtime and costs.
• Communicate with customers, supervisors, and team members about work.
• Enforce company and site safety requirements to prevent incidents.
