Job summary

Amteck is hiring Electrical Maintenance Technicians to perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, inspection and repair of electrical systems in industrial environments. The technician ensures compliance with NFPA 70B, OEM specs, and NETA standards while maintaining reliability and safety of facility electrical infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Industrial electrical maintenance experience in manufacturing or industrial settings.
• Strong knowledge of electrical theory, power distribution and industrial installations.
• Ability to develop and execute preventive maintenance strategies aligned with standards.
• Proficient with electrical tools, diagnostic instruments and testing equipment.
• Capable of interpreting arc-flash studies and safety protocols.
• Extensive knowledge of NEC, OSHA, NFPA 70E and related safety rules.
• Strong communication skills for clear documentation and customer interaction.
• Willingness to travel up to 100% for site coverage.

Responsibilities

• Performs electrical preventive maintenance and testing per NFPA 70B and NETA standards.
• Conduct infrared thermography to identify faults and abnormal heat.
• Visually inspect components, wiring, and connections for wear or damage.
• Clean, lubricate, and service electrical equipment for reliability.
• Test power distribution, controls, and motors to verify function.
• Assess equipment and environments to identify risks and improvements.
• Apply LOTO, arc-flash awareness and safety procedures.
• Support EHS initiatives and safe work practices.
• Document inspections, test results, actions, and recommendations.
• Identify issues early to minimize downtime and costs.
• Communicate findings with customers, supervisors and team.
• Enforce site safety requirements and ongoing safety training.
