Job summary
Amteck is actively seeking Electrical Maintenance Technicians to support preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems in industrial environments. The role emphasizes NFPA 70B, NETA standards, arc-flash safety, and strong safety training to ensure uptime and reliability.
Travel up to 100% may be required to service power distribution equipment, motors, and controls across facilities.
Qualifications
- 5+ years in an industrial electrical maintenance setting
- Strong understanding of electrical theory, power distribution and industrial installations
- Develop and execute preventive maintenance strategies aligned with standards
- High proficiency with electrical tools and testing equipment
- Interpret arc-flash studies and safety protocols
- Extensive knowledge of NEC and OSHA/NFPA rules
- Strong reporting and documentation skills
- Willingness to travel up to 100%
- Ability to read construction drawings
Responsibilities
- Perform electrical preventive maintenance and testing per NFPA 70B and NETA
- Conduct infrared thermography to identify faults and risks
- Inspect wiring and components for wear or damage
- Clean, lubricate and service electrical equipment
- Test power distribution systems and motors for proper function
- Maintain documentation of inspections and corrective actions
- Enforce safety programs including LOTO and arc-flash procedures
- Communicate with customers and team about conditions
