Job summary
Amteck is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and inspection in industrial/manufacturing environments. You will ensure NFPA 70B and NETA standards compliance while supporting uptime and safety of facility electrical systems.
Responsibilities include testing power distribution, motors, and controls; infrared thermography; and maintaining detailed documentation.
Qualifications
- 5+ years in an industrial electrical maintenance setting.
- Strong understanding of electrical theory, power distribution, and installations.
- Develop and execute preventive maintenance strategies aligned with standards.
- High proficiency with electrical tools and testing equipment.
- Knowledge of NFPA 70B and arc-flash safety practices.
- Familiarity with OSHA, NFPA 70E safety rules.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance and testing per NFPA 70B and OEM specs.
- Conduct infrared thermography to identify faults and heat signatures.
- Inspect wiring and components for wear, contamination, or damage.
- Service equipment, ensure reliability and uptime of power distribution.
- Test power distribution systems and motors to confirm function.
- Document inspections, results, and corrective actions clearly.
- Enforce safety procedures including LOTO and arc-flash reviews.
- Communicate with customers and team about conditions and work.
- Support EHS initiatives and safe work practices site-wide.
- Travel as needed to client sites and jobsites.
