Job summary

Amteck is hiring an Electrical Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, inspection, and repair of electrical systems in industrial environments. The role emphasizes compliance with NFPA 70B, OEM specifications, and NETA standards to maintain uptime and safety.

The position requires strong electrical theory, experience with power distribution and extensive safety training. Occasional travel to various facilities is expected as part of field service commitments.

Qualifications

• Industrial electrical maintenance experience
• Strong understanding of electrical theory and power distribution
• Ability to develop preventive maintenance strategies aligned with standards
• Proficient with diagnostic instruments and testing equipment
• Knowledge of NFPA 70B, NFPA 70E, NETA and NEC regulations
• Capable of interpreting electrical drawings and schematics
• Willingness to travel up to 100%
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical preventive maintenance and testing per NFPA 70B, OEM specs, and NETA standards
• Conduct infrared thermography to identify faults
• Inspect wiring and components for wear, contamination, or damage
• Clean, lubricate, and service electrical equipment for performance and longevity
• Test power distribution systems, control equipment, and motors
• Assess equipment condition and maintenance risks
• Apply LOTO, arc-flash safety measures and review arc-flash studies
• Support EHS initiatives and safe work practices
• Document inspections, tests, actions, and recommendations
• Identify issues to minimize downtime and costs
• Communicate with customers, supervisors and team members about work and equipment
• Enforce site safety requirements and training programs
• Travel as needed to job sites and training centers
