Job summary

Amteck is hiring an Electrical Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, inspection, and repair of electrical systems in industrial settings. The role focuses on reliability, safety, and uptime by servicing power distribution equipment, motors, controls, and related components.

Candidates should have strong knowledge of NEC, OSHA NFPA 70E, and maintain compliance with safety protocols. Travel is frequently required up to 100% of the time as needed for field work.

Qualifications

• .5+ years in industrial electrical maintenance
• Strong knowledge of NEC rules and regulations
• Ability to travel up to 100%
• Develop/execute preventive maintenance strategies

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical preventive maintenance and testing per NFPA 70B, OEM specs, and NETA standards
• Conduct infrared thermography to identify faults
• Inspect electrical components for wear or damage
• Service electrical equipment for reliability and longevity
• Test power distribution systems and motors for proper function
• Assess environments to identify maintenance risks and improvements
• Follow LOTO, arc-flash safety, and related safety protocols
• Support EHS initiatives and safe work practices
• Document inspections, tests, corrective actions, and recommendations
• Identify issues to minimize downtime and costs
• Communicate with customers, supervisors, and team members about work performed
• Enforce site safety requirements and participate in field training
