Job summary

Amteck, a national Top 50 Electrical Design-Build contractor, is expanding its Service division and hiring Electrical Maintenance Technicians to maintain industrial electrical systems, ensuring safety, reliability and uptime.

The role requires 5+ years in industrial maintenance, NEC/NFPA knowledge, arc-flash safety, and the ability to travel up to 100%. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, testing, and meticulous documentation in manufacturing environments.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years in an industrial electrical maintenance setting.
• Strong knowledge of electrical theory, power distribution, and industrial installations.
• Experience developing preventive maintenance strategies aligned with standards.
• Proficiency with electrical tools, diagnostics, and testing equipment.
• Ability to interpret arc-flash studies and safety protocols.
• Familiarity with NEC rules and OSHA/NFPA 70E/70B safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical preventive maintenance and testing per NFPA 70B, OEM specs, and NETA standards.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems and components to ensure uptime.
• Document inspections, tests, actions, and recommendations accurately.
• Utilize infrared thermography to identify faults and ensure reliability.
• Safely apply LOTO, arc-flash awareness, and other safety procedures.
• Coordinate with customers, supervisors, and team members on findings.
• Support EHS initiatives and maintain compliance with safety programs.
