Qualifications

• 1+ year in customer service, sales support or account management in a business, distribution, manufacturing, or technical environment.
• Experience processing orders, quotations, pricing, returns/credits, and follow-up activities per established procedures.
• Experience with enterprise systems or databases; ERP/JDE preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience communicating with customers and internal partners to resolve issues.
• Experience applying basic arithmetic skills in a business context for pricing and quantities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and standard office technology.

Responsibilities

• Process customer orders, quotations, follow-up on quotations, and returns/credits per company policies and service standards.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for customer inquiries and requests via phone, email, or other approved channels.
• Coordinate with sales, fabrication, credit, inventory control, warehouse personnel, and other internal departments to ensure accurate and timely order execution.
• Investigate order entry, pricing, shipping, and billing discrepancies; coordinate solutions with applicable departments through to resolution.
• Use enterprise systems and available resources to obtain product, pricing, availability, and application information to support customer needs.
• Maintain access to current company literature, technical documentation, and reference materials.
• Represent the company professionally and communicate to meet customer expectations, timelines, and service commitments.
• Identify opportunities to increase sales through promotions, add-ons, and proactive customer support within pricing guidelines.
• Maintain accurate documentation of customer interactions, order activity, and issue resolution in applicable systems.
• Follow up with customers to provide status updates and ensure satisfactory resolution of requests or issues.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal partners to support long-term service and account stability.
• Complete required training and remain proficient in systems, processes, and product knowledge; follow SOPs.
