Job summary

Dennis Group seeks a Traveling Construction Manager to oversee mid-to-senior level industrial projects nationwide/from site offices. The role involves coordinating subcontractors, maintaining schedules and budgets, and ensuring site safety and regulatory compliance. Travel up to 100% may be required.

Ideal candidates have a building/science/engineering background, design-build experience, and strong client-facing and leadership abilities to drive project success across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction science, building science, construction engineering or related field.
• Design-build experience on industrial projects.
• Overseeing sub-contractors and driving the project schedule.
• Strong client interaction, organizational, managerial, and communication skills.
• Progressively responsible site experience on industrial buildings.
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents, schedules, and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Daily supervision of construction activities including coordination of subcontractors and site safety programs.
• Oversight of any assigned field engineers or junior construction managers as directed.
• Work with project management to develop and update project scope, budget, and schedule.
• Project accounting, budgeting, and cost management.
• Establishing and maintaining site safety procedures with the safety team.
• Overseeing process, mechanical and utility equipment installations.
• Promoting continuous and productive communication among project participants and clients.
• Coordination of field engineering and review of submittals, RFIs, and change orders.
