Job summary

Dennis Group is seeking a Traveling Construction Manager, Mid-Sr Level, to supervise food and beverage industrial project sites from Seattle, WA. The role focuses on coordination of subcontractors, site safety, schedule, and budget, with heavy travel across the USA and Canada.

You will engage with owners, subs, and our A/E team, manage documentation, and lead field and office construction management tasks while promoting strong communication and safety standards.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in construction science, building science, construction engineering or related field.
• Design-build experience on industrial projects (strongly preferred).
• Overseeing sub-contractors and driving the project schedule.
• Client interaction experience - strong technical, organizational, managerial, and communication skills.
• Progressively responsible job site experience working on industrial building projects.
• Fundamental ability to read and interpret construction documents, schedules, and budgets.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD is a plus.
• Meet Travel requirement – Up to 100% travel to projects throughout the USA and possible Canada.
• Work Schedule requirement – Work 10 days onsite, 4 days off.

Responsibilities

• Oversee medium-sized projects and coordinate scope, budget, and schedule.
• Supervise field engineers or Jr Construction Managers as assigned.
• Ensure site safety procedures with the safety team.
• Coordinate installation of process, mechanical, and utility equipment.
• Handle permitting, code and regulatory approvals.
• Manage submittals, RFIs, change orders; review inspections.
• Coordinate field engineering and third-party testing/inspections.
• Prepare project reports/logs and assist with supplier invoices and client billing.
• Promote clear communication among owners, subs, and A/E teams.
• Support project close-out activities and site readiness.
