Job summary

The Weitz Company is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive growth on our Industrial team in Cedar Rapids. You will pursue opportunities, build relationships with clients and designers, and help develop proposals and presentations.

Occasional travel is expected. You will collaborate with marketing and strategic planning, analyze market trends, and support RFQ/RFP responses while maintaining professional materials that reflect The Weitz Company’s reputation as a full-service

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in marketing, construction engineering, or business.
Five years in construction or related industry.
Experience in business development/marketing with management experience.
Strong oral and written communication; self-motivated and deal-making.
Experience in public relations, advertising, or communications is helpful.

Responsibilities

Pursue sales opportunities leading to projects.
Track progress against sales calls and division goals.
Develop and maintain networks with clients, designers, and related firms to generate new business.
Lead RFQ/RFP responses with high-quality materials and presentations.
Support marketing plans, market research, and strategic planning.
Research economic trends affecting markets and inform planning.
Identify long-term market opportunities.
