The Weitz Company is seeking a Project Engineer for its Industrial team, with initial assignment in Hastings, Nebraska. This role involves supporting preconstruction, planning, buyout, and closeout while monitoring schedule and budget impacts across projects.

You will work with the project team, review drawings, manage RFIs and submittals, and utilize design tools to coordinate activities. Travel to sites as needed supports your growth in construction management.

Qualifications

• Industry related degree required.
• Minimum of two years of construction project management experience preferred.
• LEAN principles experience desirable.
• OSHA 30 preferred, or willingness to obtain upon hire.
• Industrial construction experience is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Organize, review, update, maintain, and post construction documents/drawings.
• Collaborate with project team to complete RFIs.
• Review submittals for accuracy against plans and specs.
• Assist in inspections, compliance audits, and non-conformance logs.
• Manage material and equipment delivery status.
• Maintain and distribute accurate project logs.
• Draft scopes of work for subcontracts and purchase orders.
• Track subcontractor change requests and draft change orders.
• Utilize virtual design tools for project coordination.
• Obtain and manage closeout information and assist with warranty processes.
• Travel or relocate to specified assignments as needed.
