Job summary

Mullins Mechanical, a leading mechanical contractor, is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join our team. The role focuses on supporting industrial projects including millwright/rigging, piping, and structural steel.

The position emphasizes documentation, budgeting, scheduling, subcontracting, and active collaboration with field teams to ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery. Ideal candidates will have related project management exposure or a BS/BA in Building Science, Engineering,

Qualifications

• Experience in project management or related leadership roles in construction.
• Knowledge of construction materials and equipment.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development, management, and storage of all project documentation.
• Participate in hand-off meetings to gather critical information before construction.
• Assist the PM in preparing the construction budget and schedule.
• Develop/subcontracts and purchase orders; manage subcontractors and performance.
• Coordinate submittals, RFIs, and cost discrepancy resolution with PM & accounting.
• Help price, negotiate, and formalize changes in project scope; support site resource needs.
• Support safety, quality, and productivity on site.
