Job summary

Mullins Mechanical is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support industrial mechanical projects, including millwright/rigging, piping, and structural steel. The role covers documentation, budgeting, scheduling, subcontracting, and overall field coordination.

You will assist PMs, manage resources, and help ensure safety, quality, and timely project delivery on diverse industrial sites.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Building Science, Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• Certifications such as PMP/CCM are a plus.
• OSHA 30, First Aid and CPR training required or preferred.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials and equipment.
• Leadership ability with multitasking and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, manage, and store all project documentation.
• Participate in hand-off meetings to capture critical info before construction.
• Assist PM in preparing the construction budget.
• Assist in developing and managing the construction schedule.
• Develop and write subcontracts and purchase orders.
• Manage subcontractors and their performance.
• Collect, organize, and distribute submittals and RFIs.
• Collaborate with PM and accounting to resolve cost discrepancies.
• Support pricing, negotiation, and scope changes.
• Coordinate resource needs with Superintendents.
• Oversee safety, quality, and productivity on site.
• Ensure the jobsite remains clean and orderly.
