Job summary

Mullins Mechanical is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support the management of industrial mechanical projects, including millwright/rigging, process piping, utility piping, and structural steel. The role involves coordinating documentation, budgets, schedules, subcontracts, and subcontractor performance across project sites.

Ideal candidates will have a degree in Building Science, Engineering, Construction Management or related field, with leadership experience, strong communication

Qualifications

• B.S./B.A. in Building Science, Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• PMP, CCM certification is a plus.
• OSHA 30, First Aid, and CPR trained.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development, management, and storage of all project documentation.
• Participate in project hand-off meetings to capture essential information before construction.
• Assist the PM in preparing the construction budget.
• Assist in developing and managing the construction schedule.
• Develop and write subcontracts and purchase orders as requested.
• Manage subcontractors and their performance.
• Coordinate submittals of materials and equipment.
• Create and distribute RFIs for clarifications.
• Collaborate with PM and accounting to resolve cost discrepancies.
• Assist in pricing, negotiating, and formalizing changes in scope.
• Coordinate with Superintendents for resource requests.
• Monitor safety, quality, and productivity on site.
• Maintain a clean and orderly jobsite.
