The Weitz Company in Cedar Rapids seeks an experienced Business Development Manager to grow and maintain a robust client base in the industrial sector. You will pursue opportunities, build relationships with designers, CRE groups, and firms, and drive strategic planning and marketing initiatives.

Responsibilities include leading RFQ/RFP responses, coordinating with internal teams, and traveling occasionally to develop key accounts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in marketing, construction engineering, or business.
• MBA preferred but not required.
• Public relations/advertising/journalism exposure helpful.
• Five years in construction or related industry required.

Responsibilities

• Pursue sales opportunities leading to successful projects.
• Maintain networks with clients, designers, commercial real estate groups, civic groups to generate new leads.
• Ensure high-quality responses to RFQs and RFPs.
• Assist in strategic planning, advertising, and public relations.
• Travel occasionally as needed.
• Track progress against sales calls and goals.
