Job summary

Zachry Group is seeking an experienced Boilermaker to construct iron/steel structures in a new construction plant. The role requires reading blueprints, fabricating to spec, and using cranes for positioning.

You will work with the mechanical department and ensure safety in elevated work while following project drawings and ECNs. Preference given to candidates with NCCER Boilermaker certification and a proven track record in industrial construction, with strong knowledge of rigging, welding, and

Qualifications

• Must have 4+ years’ experience as a Boilermaker Helper/Ironworker or comparable position with Experience.
• Must meet all physical requirements and be able to work at heights.
• Must have required tools and reliable transportation.
• Ability to read IFC drawings and follow craft specs.
• Know safe rigging practices and correct knot usage.
• Able to lay out from drawings and execute work with supervision.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and specifications to determine scope, locations, quantities, and sizes of materials.
• Identify tools required for tasks and safety precautions.
• Fabricate equipment per blueprints or supervisor instructions.
• Hoist equipment via bull rigging or crane and verify alignment with plumb bobs or laser levels.
• Connect columns, beams and girders with bolts and prepare for riveting or bolting.
• Cut, bend, and weld iron/steel pieces using appropriate equipment.
• Follow blueprints and monitor ECN notes; read cut sheets and maintain layout accuracy.
