Job summary

Graybar in United States seeks a Technical Specialist - Industrial Automation to support sales of high-tech automation and control products. You will work with branch personnel to identify opportunities that meet customer needs.

The role emphasizes specifying products, recommending inventory, informing staff of new developments, and providing technical services for operation and maintenance of automation equipment. Travel extensive.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in progressively more responsible sales, marketing, and/or field experience required; 4+ years experience preferred.
• Two-year degree required: Technical college or equivalent.
• Knowledge of high-tech automation and control products and engineering principles related to customer automation products.
• Knowledge of operations, sales, and information systems processes.
• Oral and written communication skills.
• Interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with management and evaluate customer needs.
• Organizational and team building skills.
• Ability to make oral and written presentations to internal and external contacts and clearly present complex solutions to non-technical staff.
• Extensive travel required.
