Job summary

SunSource's Automation & Factory Solutions (AFS) unit seeks an Outside Sales Account Manager to expand our Southeast Michigan territory, strengthening existing relationships and acquiring new accounts. You’ll provide consultative product recommendations, demonstrate automation solutions, and coordinate with Inside Sales for quotes and follow-up.

The role emphasizes technical sales to OEMs and manufacturers, requires travel, and offers commission-based earnings.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in B2B technical sales in automation or electrical controls
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel
• Excellent communication and presentation skills

Responsibilities

• Own and execute a territory-based strategy to win new accounts
• Build and maintain a robust pipeline with outbound prospecting
• Conduct onsite and virtual sales calls with demos and recommendations
• Coordinate with Inside Sales to document activity and quotes
• Develop product knowledge and assist with implementations
• Maintain professional knowledge through ongoing training
