Job summary
WEG Electric Corp. is seeking a Business Development Manager for OEM automation in compressors and industrial refrigeration. You will grow the business with OEMs and contractors nationwide, focusing on automation solutions that improve system reliability and energy efficiency. Responsibilities include leading opportunities, coordinating with sales engineers, and building a robust automation pipeline to drive revenue and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of business development, technical sales, application engineering, or account management experience in industrial automation or related industry.
- Proven ability to grow relationships with OEM customers and develop new business.
- Strong knowledge of VFDs, soft starters, industrial controls, motor control, and automation solutions.
Responsibilities
- Meet sales goals for VFDs, soft starters, industrial controls, and UL508A panels.
- Generate leads, develop opportunities, and lead closures of new business.
- Qualify leads and prioritize opportunities for the sales team.
- Visit customer sites to review challenges and new applications for automation products.
- Coordinate with Area Managers, Territory Account Managers, and Automation Sales Engineers to win business.
- Develop and manage automation pipeline opportunities and work with teams to close deals.
- Analyze financial data and sales metrics to forecast revenue and identify improvements.
- Prepare reports and presentations to track KPIs and communicate progress.
