Job summary

WEG Electric Corp. is expanding its U.S. operations and seeks a Business Development Manager for OEM Automation – HVAC & Pumps.

You will grow relationships with OEMs, package builders, and contractors, focusing on pumps, HVAC, and fluid-handling systems, and deliver automation solutions nationwide. The role requires 5+ years in industrial automation or related sales, deep knowledge of drives and controls, and the ability to coordinate with product managers and field teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering and/or in Business or similar field or equivalent relevant work experience.
• 5+ years of business development, technical sales, application engineering, or account management experience in industrial automation.
• Strong knowledge of VFDs, soft starters, industrial controls, motor control, and automation solutions.
• Understanding of industrial control panels (UL508A), PLC-based systems, and systems integration.
• Ability to work with engineering, operations, and procurement teams to develop and close complex opportunities.
• Strong understanding of the assigned vertical market, including OEMs, applications and trends.

Responsibilities

• Meet sales goals for VFDs, soft starters, industrial controls, and UL508A panels.
• Generate sales leads, develop opportunities, and close new business.
• Qualify leads to identify viable opportunities and prioritize efforts.
• Visit customer sites to review technical challenges and new applications.
• Coordinate with managers and engineers to gain new business.
• Develop and manage assigned automation pipeline opportunities.
