Job summary

NASCAR SpeedPark Smoky Mountains in Sevierville, Tennessee, is seeking an entry-level Operations team member to assist admissions, arcade, foods, and maintenance while gaining hands-on guest service and leadership experience.

You will train across departments, help keep park areas guest-ready, greet guests, resolve concerns, and participate in VIP experiences and events. Internship housing assistance is available through our partner program.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Hospitality, Management, Business, or Tourism.
  • Preferred experience in customer service or team-based roles.
  • Willingness to complete HR training within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Support daily front-line operations across Admissions, Arcade, Foods and Maintenance.
  • Greet guests, answer questions and resolve concerns professionally.
  • Assist with opening/closing procedures and maintain guest-ready spaces.
  • Support staffing coverage and ensure smooth service flow during peak periods.
  • Maintain cleanliness of guest areas and assist with VIP events and group bookings.
  • Communicate operational needs to leadership and help manage queues.
  • Cross-train across departments to gain full operational knowledge.

Job description

NASCAR SpeedPark:

PARC Pigeon Forge, LLC, a division of PARC Entertainment, LLC (“PARC”), owns and operates the NASCAR SpeedPark in Sevierville, Tennessee. As an officially licensed attraction of the National Association for Stock Car Racing (“NASCAR”), the park offers exciting side-by-side go-kart racing on eight tracks, together with amusement rides, miniature golf courses, bumper boats, an arcade, and other family-oriented entertainment. Job Purpose:

Support daily indoor operations and guest experience across Admissions, Arcade, Foods, and Property Maintenance while gaining hands-on experience in team support, guest service, and operational flow. Assist leadership in maintaining a clean, safe, efficient, and guest-focused environment while developing leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills in a high-volume setting.

Key Duties And Responsibilities
Park-Wide Related Duties
  • Support communication of operational needs and updates with Department Leadership and team members
  • Participate in front-line operations across indoor departments during peak periods
  • Contribute to staffing coverage and team support based on operational demands
Department-Specific Duties
  • Assist with daily opening, operating, and closing procedures across indoor departments, ensuring all areas are guest-ready
  • Support team member placement and coverage by communicating operational needs and maintaining service flow
  • Help coordinate break coverage and shift support to ensure smooth operations
  • Ensure completion of operational checklists (opening, closing, cleaning, restocking) with accuracy and consistency
  • Maintain clear communication with leadership regarding operational needs, concerns, and updates
  • Greet and assist guests, answer questions, and resolve concerns in a professional and friendly manner
  • Model strong guest service behaviors and support service expectations across departments
  • Support queue and line management to improve guest flow and reduce wait times
  • Assist with special guest situations, including lost items, accessibility needs, and guest concerns
  • Monitor cleanliness of guest areas, including restrooms and high-traffic spaces, to maintain park standards
  • Support Admissions operations by maintaining organization and professionalism at the guest entry point
  • Assist Foods operations with stocking, cleanliness, and basic service needs as trained
  • Support Arcade operations by assisting guests and maintaining a clean, engaging environment
  • Communicate equipment or facility concerns to leadership or Maintenance
  • Support Property Maintenance through cleanliness, restocking, and identifying hazards
  • Assist with VIP experiences, special events, and group bookings to ensure smooth execution
  • Support accessibility accommodations and contribute to an inclusive guest environment
  • Complete assigned tasks, checklists, and documentation accurately and on time
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by Management
Training & Development
  • Cross-train across Admissions, Arcade, Foods, and Property Maintenance to gain full operational knowledge
  • Gain hands-on experience working front-line shifts to understand guest expectations and team operations
  • Develop leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Learn how to support team members and operations during high-volume periods
  • Gain exposure to operational decision-making, guest service strategies, and performance expectations
  • Build confidence through real-time problem-solving and guest interaction
Skills, Requirements, And Qualifications

  • Required Education – Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Hospitality, Management, Business, or Tourism
  • Preferred Experience – Previous customer service or team-based experience preferred
  • Certification/Licensure – Not required; willingness to learn operational procedures and systems
  • Training Requirements – Sexual Harassment and Leadership Boundaries and Professional Conduct training required to be completed with HR within 30 days, plus ongoing leadership training as requested
  • Specific Vision Requirements – Color and peripheral vision, close vision, distance vision, depth perception, ability to adjust focus
  • Specific Hearing Requirements – Ability to hear, understand, and respond to verbal communication in both in-person and digital environments, including guest interactions, team communication, and public engagement settings.
  • Special Skills – Strong guest service mindset; ability to multitask; adaptability; teamwork; ability to work in a fast-paced environment
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Stand for extended periods and walk frequently throughout indoor park areas
  • Use hands and fingers to handle equipment, supplies, and service materials; reach with hands and arms as needed
  • Bend, stoop, and move quickly between operational areas as needed
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
  • Maintain mobility during high-volume periods, including frequent movement between departments
  • Work in indoor environments with varying activity levels and occasional exposure to outdoor conditions
  • The noise level in the work environment is typically moderate to loud
