Job summary

Cardinal Health is seeking a Strategic Sourcing - Indirect Advisor to lead end-to-end sourcing for indirect categories. You will build supplier relationships, negotiate contracts and manage RFP events to deliver best value across Cardinal Health.

The role requires strong communication, financial acumen, and project management with experience in SAP Ariba and MS Office. This position offers comprehensive benefits and a path to impact enterprise-wide supply chain performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in business, supply chain, finance, economics or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, category management, supplier management and negotiation preferred.
• Effective communication in English and ability to present to all levels of the organization.
• Demonstrates a strong financial acumen.
• Strong project and process management skills.
• Proficient with MS Office tools; knowledge of SAP or SAP Ariba is a plus.
• Working knowledge of industry and market conditions.

Responsibilities

• Category Sourcing Lead for assigned indirect categories (e.g., Environmental Health and Safety, Energy and Facilities).
• Primary sourcing partner for key stakeholders within indirect categories.
• Collaborate with indirect suppliers to source goods and services.
• Initiate, negotiate and finalize new indirect supplier contracts and maintain existing contracts.
• Manage RFP events within indirect categories.
• Drive purchasing discipline and compliance with internal stakeholders.
• Review and approve BuyNow purchase requests and new supplier setups.
• Work with legal and compliance teams to ensure favorable contract terms.
