Job summary

Cardinal Health is seeking an Advisor, Strategic Sourcing to lead end-to-end sourcing for indirect categories and collaborate with business partners to understand sourcing needs. You will execute competitive bids, negotiate contracts, and drive cost optimization using spend analytics and market intelligence.

The role requires relationship-building with category teams, suppliers and internal stakeholders, plus experience in spend analytics, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 3+ years experience in strategic sourcing, category management, supplier management and negotiation.
• Strong communication skills in English and ability to present to all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead category sourcing for assigned indirect categories (e.g., EHS, Energy, Facilities).
• Act as primary sourcing business partner for key stakeholders.
• Collaborate with indirect suppliers to source goods and services.
• Initiate, negotiate and finalize new supplier contracts and maintain existing ones.
• Manage RFP events within indirect categories.
• Drive purchasing discipline and compliance with stakeholders.
• Review and approve BuyNow requests and new supplier setups.
• Work with legal/compliance to ensure favorable terms.
