Job summary

Cardinal Health is seeking an Advisor, Strategic Sourcing (Indirect) to lead end-to-end sourcing for indirect categories and to develop relationships with category business partners to understand sourcing needs. You will execute competitive bids, negotiations and contracting to maximize value for Cardinal Health.

Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's degree with 3+ years in strategic sourcing, strong communication, financial acumen, and proficiency in MS Office; SAP/SAP Ariba a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in strategic sourcing (indirect) and category management.
• Strong communication and presentation skills across all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead category sourcing for assigned indirect categories (e.g., EHS, Energy, Facilities).
• Primary sourcing business partner for stakeholders within assigned indirect categories.
• Collaborate with indirect suppliers to source indirect goods and services.
• Initiate, negotiate and finalize new indirect supplier contracts and maintain existing contracts.
• Manage RFP events within assigned indirect categories.
• Drive purchasing discipline and compliance with internal stakeholders.
• Review and approve BuyNow purchase requests and new supplier setups within assigned categories.
• Work with legal and compliance teams to ensure favorable contract terms.
