Cardinal Health is seeking an Advisor, Strategic Sourcing to lead end-to-end sourcing for indirect categories and partner with category business leads to understand sourcing needs. The role executes competitive bidding, negotiations, contract processes, and cost-optimization initiatives using spend analytics and market intelligence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Economics, or related field is preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in strategic sourcing (indirect), category management, supplier management and negotiation.
• Effective communication in English and presentation skills; ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.
• Demonstrates strong financial acumen and strong project/process management skills.
• Knowledge of MS Office and SAP/SAP Ariba is a plus, with industry/market knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Category Sourcing Lead for assigned indirect categories (e.g., Environmental Health and Safety, Energy and Facilities).
• Primary sourcing partner support for key stakeholders within indirect categories.
• Work closely with indirect suppliers to source indirect goods and services.
• Initiate, negotiate and finalize new indirect supplier contracts and maintain existing contracts.
• Manage RFP events within assigned indirect categories.
• Drive purchasing discipline and compliance with internal stakeholders.
• Review and approve BuyNow purchase requests and new supplier setups within assigned categories.
• Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure favorable contract terms.
