Job summary

Cardinal Health in the United States seeks an Advisor, Strategic Sourcing to lead end-to-end sourcing for indirect categories. You will partner with category business partners to understand needs, run competitive bids, negotiate contracts, and drive value through spend analytics and market intelligence.

You will collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure favorable terms, manage RFP events, and optimize supply arrangements for EHS, energy, and facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in business-related field.
• 3+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, category management, supplier management and negotiation.
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
• Financial acumen and ability to analyze spend data.

Responsibilities

• Category Sourcing Lead for assigned indirect categories such as Environmental Health and Safety (EHS), Energy and Facilities.
• Primary sourcing partner support for stakeholders in assigned indirect categories.
• Collaborate with indirect suppliers to source indirect goods and services.
• Initiate, negotiate and finalize new indirect supplier contracts and maintain existing contracts.
• Manage RFP events within assigned indirect categories.
• Drive purchasing discipline and compliance with internal stakeholders.
• Review and approve BuyNow purchase requests and new supplier setups.
• Work with legal and compliance to ensure favorable contract terms.
