Job summary

The Periscope Group is seeking independent consultants (PT/OT) to perform in-home medical necessity assessments across the United States. This flexible contractor role values your clinical expertise and allows you to set your own schedule within assessment timeframes.

You will visit member homes, provide equipment and care recommendations, and complete secure documentation from any device. Compensation ranges by assessment and location, with ongoing education and mentoring opportunities.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as a Physical or Occupational Therapist.
• Malpractice/Liability insurance (may be purchased after offer).
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and navigate stairs and varied home environments.
• Reliable transportation for traveling to member homes.
• Proficient with online portals and mobile devices for documentation.
• Strong critical thinking, problem solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform one-time comprehensive medical need assessments in an individual’s home.
• Provide expert recommendations for equipment, service, and care that empower members to maintain independence.
• Complete straightforward documentation through our secure, user-friendly online portable accessible from any device.
