Job summary

The Periscope Group seeks independent contractors to perform in-home medical necessity assessments across the United States. You will conduct one-time evaluations, provide equipment and care recommendations to help clients maintain independence, and document findings through a secure online portal.

Requirements include active licensure as a Physical or Occupational Therapist, liability insurance, and the ability to travel to member homes.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as a Physical or Occupational Therapist (No PTAs or COTAs).
• Malpractice/Liability Insurance (may be purchased at time of offer).
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds, navigate stairs and varied home environments, and perform physical assessments.
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel to member homes.
• Proficient with technology: navigate online portals, upload documents, use computer/tablet/smartphone for all tasks.
• Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform one-time comprehensive medical need assessments in a patient’s home.
• Provide expert recommendations for equipment, service, and care to maintain independence.
• Complete documentation through our secure online portal from any device.
